TalentButler Companion — Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers the TalentButler Companion browser extension ("the Extension"), operated by TechieButler Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us"). The Extension is an optional companion to a TalentButler account: it shows a signed-in recruiter their own interview schedule for the day in the browser's side panel and lets them write interview notes and submit interview feedback to their own TalentButler account.

Data the Extension stores on your device

• Your TalentButler session token, read from the TalentButler web application you are already signed into, so the panel can act on your behalf without a separate login. It is kept only in your browser's extension storage.
• Unsaved note drafts and small display preferences (such as the "Show completed" filter and which feedback you have already submitted).
• A short-lived local cache of your own interview schedule for the current day.

None of this leaves your device except as described in the next section.

Data the Extension transmits

• The Extension communicates exclusively with TalentButler's own servers (talentbutler.net domains) — the same service your account already uses — to fetch your interview schedule and to save the notes and feedback you write.
• Interview schedules, candidate details, notes, and feedback are processed by TalentButler under the TalentButler Privacy Policy, exactly as when you use the TalentButler web application.
• The Extension sends no data to any third party.

Browser data the Extension reads

• The URL of your active browser tab, solely to recognize when it is the Google Meet call of an interview already on your TalentButler schedule, so the Extension can highlight that meeting. Your browsing activity is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
• Your TalentButler session data on talentbutler.net pages, solely to sign the panel in.

What the Extension does not do

• No analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind.
• No selling or transferring of user data to third parties.
• No use of your data for purposes unrelated to the single purpose described above, including creditworthiness or lending decisions.

Data retention and deletion

• Signing out of TalentButler removes the Extension's locally cached session and schedule.
• Uninstalling the Extension removes all data it stored in your browser.
• Data held by the TalentButler service itself (your notes, feedback, and account) is governed by the TalentButler Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how the Extension handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
